Rotarian Amy Bouton, Director of Communications at St Tammany Hospital, organized a tour for Rotarians of the new St. Tammany Health System Surgery Center. The Center is a $75 million, 126,000 sq ft advanced technology center, employing 100 personnel, which caters to one-day surgeries. It has 24 private Pre-Op rooms, 12 operating rooms, 18 post procedure rooms and 15 rooms for overnight stay, if needed. Advanced technologies include the Da Vinci System for robotic-assisted surgeries, Stryker Mako systems for precise total knee and hip replacements, special germ killing lights in all rooms, and an advanced Sterile processing center near each operating room.
Thanks to Amy and Bridget from St Tammany for the very interesting tour of new technology for St Tammany!
